They made it to the MTC on Monday. They got checked in, they got a assigned a room on the 3rd floor and at the very end of the building. No elevator to go up and down only stairs. They said the exercise will be good for Dad's knee, but hauling their luggage up was a bit much. Thankfully an Elder stopped and gave them a hand.
Communication to the outside world stayed steady via text messages and phone calls. One call came and they were in need of pillows. They took one look at the pillows in there room and said no way, plus Dad need some for his knee so he could rest it. So the played hooky and left the MTC after dinner for a trip to P.G. They came by to pick up some extra pillows. While at the house Mom took a quick nap and Dad helped with some math homework. They came during dinner and it happened to be a quick dinner night from things running behind. Dinner was offered to the missionary couple- Mac and Cheese. They politely declined, but the host insisted that they have some and reminded them that it was all part of the "missionary experience" (for those that don't know, cheese, for Mom and Dad, is one of those things that is very much disliked and left out, and off, of things). We all got a good laugh. Then they were gone back to the MTC to make curfew. They also needed to get to bed. They hadn't had much sleep in the past few days and looked tired.
The second day a few more text's and call came out, but today on the third day it has been quiet. They must be getting settled into things and learning what they need to do as missionaries. They are loving the MTC and are meeting other couples. They met two other couples that were heading for Argentina also, but into another mission. They are quite surprised at the flexibility couple missionaries have. They pretty much are just at the MTC for classes. When they are not in class they are free to do what they like. They said that couples who live close to the MTC even stay at home or go home on weekends.
Can't wait to hear more!

Thanks Aleah for setting up the blogg we will try to be better about getting on regularly.
While we were at the curch office building yesterday we recieved word that our visa's had been signed and our tickets purchased. Our PEF Area Director called and indicated she will be waiting for us at the airport. I think this means ...we are on our way to Argentina Monday. We feel so fortunate as there are many visas that have not come through. When we met with the Argentine Consolate on Wed we had a good feeling after we signed our papers.
Thanks again for the great support from family and friends. We are fortunate to be part of the lives of so many great people. We love you.
